Kendra Grissett
Welcome to Buffalo Upper Junior High! My name is Kendra Grissett, and I am honored to serve as the school counselor for our students and families.
This is my 19th year with Buffalo ISD and my 3rd year as a school counselor. Throughout my years in education, I have had the privilege of working with students in a variety of roles, and I am passionate about helping every child reach their full potential—academically, socially, and emotionally.
Buffalo ISD holds a special place in my heart. All three of my children attended Buffalo schools, and two have proudly graduated from Buffalo High School. Being both an educator and a parent in this district has given me a deep appreciation for our community and the opportunities we provide for our students.
I earned my Bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University and my Master's degree in School Counseling from Lamar University. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where every student feels valued, encouraged, and empowered to succeed. I enjoy building relationships with students, helping them navigate challenges, celebrating their accomplishments, and watching them grow into confident, successful young adults.
I believe that strong partnerships between school and home are essential to student success. Whether you have questions, concerns, or simply need assistance, I encourage you to reach out. I look forward to working together to support our students throughout the school year.
